Women have truly discovered the thrill of riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle through winding twists and turns and on wide open roads. As a woman, you can always feel comfortable walking into Gail's Harley-Davidson's warm and inviting dealership.
Whether you're new to motorcycling, been riding on the back, are ready to move up to the front or are a seasoned rider, Gail's Harley-Davidson has something for you! And at Gail's, you're always welcome! Doesn't matter if you ride or even what you ride, we welcome you into our family. Let the fun begin!
Krista Marie Partners With Harley-Davidson - Broken Bow/Holeshot Records artist and champion ATV Motocross racer Krista Marie has made her living on the open road singing, performing and racing. Now, building off of her existing relationship with the NHRA, Krista has connected with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Screamin' Eagle racing to make promotional appearances at H-D dealerships, NHRA events and will participate in charity rides across the country on behalf of the storied brand and to support Harley-Davidson's effort to encourage women to ride.
"We met Krista Marie through NHRA drag racing, and her passion for motorsports and Harley-Davidson motorcycles makes her a perfect fit as an honorary member of our Screamin' Eagle race team," said Harley-Davidson Manager of Racing Anne Paluso.
The relationship revs up today at Daytona Bike Week, where Krista will be riding her 2009 Harley-Davidson V-Rod Muscle. Elegance meets brute strength in her new ride, which features a 1250cc, liquid-cooled Revolution V-Twin engine with satin chrome, straight-shot side pipes, and a 250mm wide rear tire. Krista will be hitting the streets on her V-Rod Muscle as she participates in the Women's Day MDA Ride on Tuesday. Following the ride, she will hit the stage to perform music from her debut album at the Harley-Davidson Indoor Show at Daytona's new Ocean Center.
"I am so excited to be a part to the team and the Harley-Davidson family," said Krista. "Riding and music are my life and the fact that I get to do both... well I guess you can say I'm lucky enough to be living the dream!"
Krista Marie co-wrote and sang, "Drive It Like I Stole It, which is the theme song for ESPN's coverage of NHRA drag racing's 2009 season. Harley-Davidson is a dynasty in the world of drag racing, boasting four of the last five national champions and the current national champion, and Krista will make appearances at H-D exhibits during every NHRA event she attends. Fans can read her NHRA blog, view photos and videos and hear new music at www.kristamarie.net

Garage Party. Garage parties are for women only and are held several times throughout the year. The 2-hour evening program is a chance for women who don't own a motorcycle to get together in a relaxed atmosphere (without the men hanging around) to learn a little bit about Harley-Davidsons. It's the perfect place to be if you think motorcycles are cool, but don't necessarily want to own one. Or maybe your husband has a Harley and you'd like to be able to point out the difference between a Softail and a Dyna at bike night. You'll learn about the different models, try on chaps and a jacket, even pick up a bike. The program will teach you the following:
- Motorcycle Orientation - learn the basic differences between Harley-Davidson® and Buell® motorcycle families.
- MotorClothes® merchandise - discover the important attributes needed in motorcycle gear.
- Motorcycle Fit & Function - learn how to customize a motorcycle to reflect a rider's personal style and ergonomic needs.
- How to Pick Up a Motorcycle - find out how just about anyone can handle the weight of a motorcycle.
- You'll be in great company with great food. Whatever your interest in motorcycles be - Gail's is the place to be! Call Dee at 816-966-2222 to find out when the next Garage Party will be held.
Share Your Spark. This new program brings novice female riders together with experienced female riders. We have all the information for both current riders (Mentors) and aspiring riders (Mentees). For Mentees, there are suggestions on how to find the right mentor, what questions to ask, videos and helpful checklists. For Mentors, this will help guide you to engage new riders - with "do's and don'ts", discussion questions, resources and more. Now is the time to ride and share your spark with others! The next Share Your Spark class is scheduled for the spring! Check back here for more information!
Learn to Ride. If you are ready to learn to ride, Gail's Harley-Davidson has a program specifically designed for you and it's held right here at the dealership. You'll gain classroom knowledge as well as first-hand experience. Click here to learn more about the Rider's Edge Program. All-women classes are held periodically throughout the year.
